Ingredients of Baidyanath Bolbaddh Ras

The major key ingredients present in Baidyanath Bolbaddh Ras are giloy, kajjali, and bol.

• Giloy has laxative (agent increases the movement of the bowel) action that is helpful in treating constipation and due to the presence of hypoglycemic (agents reduces blood sugar level) action, it is helpful in treating diabetes.
• Kajjali is prepared by combining shuudha gandhak (sulfur) and parad (mercury). It has the ability to stimulate sexual desire.
• Bol has antidiabetic action that is helpful in treating diabetes. It also has the ability to treat irregular menstruation this is due to the presence of emmenagogue (agent treats abnormal menstruation) activity.

Dosage of Bolbaddh Ras

• Children: 1/4 of the above dose with honey twice a day or as advised by Ayurvedic doctor.
